FiberWhat is fiber? Why does fiber help with weight loss and how does it do that? This article answers these questions and explains why Skinny Fiber is different better than other fiber supplements.

What Exactly is Fiber?

Fiber is the part of a plant that our bodies cannot digest. Because fiber is indigestible, it passes through our digestive systems without adding any calories. Fiber occurs naturally in two forms: soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber is the kind that dissolves in water. In contrast, insoluble fiber (also known as bulk fiber) does not dissolve in water. Both types of fiber can be found in veggies, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and legumes.

The body reacts different to these two types of fiber.  Soluble fiber forms a kind of gel in your digestive tract as is passes through your body. As it does this, it takes with it some cholesterol and also slows down the absorption of sugar. This sugar absorption has a healthy effect on your blood sugar levels by keeping it more stable. Soluble fiber can be found in beans, chia seeds, peas, oat bran, and Skinny Fiber.
